AUSTIN / UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS WEATHER
SEVEN DAY WEATHER HEADLINES
AND MY 7 DAY FORECAST CONFIDENCE …

(1) A southerly surface wind continues with abundant low level moisture and cloud cover in place over the eastern half of Texas. With fronts pulling up stationary to our north and west through next Thursday, there will be no air mass changes; however, passing upper air disturbances will create atmospheric lift as they pass west to east mainly to the north of our area. As a result, rain and thunderstorm chances continue on and off over the next seven day period.

(2) An advancing cold front has some chance of getting into the area with some higher rain chances by late next week.

Based on NWS/Weather Prediction Center guidance, between 1.50 to 2.00 inch of rainfall is forecast for our IH35 corridor over the next seven day forecast period.

MY FORECAST CONFIDENCE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS…
Medium to high confidence (my lowest confidence regards timing of highest precipitation chances as well as rainfall amounts over the next seven days).
